Boy it was racist society. I had friends from many races, I was exposed to racism from the ones who felt they were white. They were mixed but felt they were white.

My background is of African, Indian and European ancestry yet I consider myself Black. Many west Indians do not like to admit that they are Black.

My great grandfather came to visit with us from Grenada, many asked who was that old white man. I told them that was my great grandfather, they told me that was not true.

I have heard about the unspoken rule from a white Trini I was in business with in Barbados. She also told me that her father would have rolled over in his grave if he was alive to see her in business with a black woman. The business relationship did not last too long, and I don't think it was because of racism.islandgal246https://www.blogger.com/profile/09139072456332225087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10415667.post-61126272560994568772010-08-07T10:16:59.232-07:002010-08-07T10:16:59.232-07:00You are most welcome. You are most welcome.Jessica Josephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00918518641443769144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10415667.post-16530385339661347032010-08-06T15:08:51.189-07:002010-08-06T15:08:51.189-07:00Powerful.
